A family time supporter is a relative, tribal member, caring community member, or family friend.
Stipends are available for your time + an additional amount is available for child care if needed.

Family contact is vitally important to successfully reunifying children with their families. Attend the FREE Best Practices in Family Contact virtual training. This interactive and thought-provoking learning experience will bring together Mat-Su Valley professionals, foster parents, and family time supporters ready to discover how to apply best practices that give families the best chance of:
– maintaining parent/child attachment
– building positive future connections
– successful family reunification
Learn how you can help safely support and increase family contact for children. The virtual training includes a two-hour online training that will be done prior to the first day of virtual training, which will set the foundation for learning. Throughout the three live learning sessions, you will join foster parents (kinship and non-kinship) and child welfare professionals in exploring best practices in family contact. You will receive certification of completion for ten total training hours.
